These are aggressive, feisty and unattractive Turtles, but they are still quite popular. They have large heads and hooked jaws. These species are only really for the serious experienced species Vivarium Set Up Size: min 76x36x24in (180x90x60cm) for adults. Design: Terrestrial Type: Semi-Aquatic Substrate: None for hygiene. Temperature: Water - 23-25.5°C (74-78°F) during day, 15°C (60°F) at night Land - 23-25.5°C (74-78°F) during day at cool end 29-30°C (84-86°F) at hot spot Winter Cooling: max 5°C (41°F) for 8 weeks in water Lighting: Full spectrum (UVB) and basking lamp Feeding Carnivorous Varied diet, whole fish, snails, earthworms, thawed mice, quail chicks etc. |
