There is a very wide range of foods on offer for the carnivorous herp, including, frozen mice, rats and chicks. These are available in a variety of sizes for the smaller to the larger herps.wpe11.jpg (21373 bytes)

Frozen mice are available as 'pinkies' (baby mice a day old with no fur), 'fluffs' (baby mice with some fur) and so on.  Also available for the larger species are frozen guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens.

It is important to  insure that all frozen foods are properly defrosted before they are feed to your herps.

Also now available are special sausage type foods, that are specially formulated to meet your herps needs and are also available in a variety of sizes. Which is good if you don't like handling dead rodents.

Some carnivorous snakes and turtles also take fish, but these should be used only as a supplement as a herp feed holey on fish can become thiamin deficient.
