Description

The Blue Headed Agama is semi arboreal, they need plenty of space and places to climb.      They have adapted well to captivity, although they can be difficult to hand tame.  Hatchlings will feel threatened and throw open there mouths and they will not be reluctant to bit.  But , with a lot of patience from the keeper juveniles will learn to accept feeding by hand.

Vivarium Set Up

Design: Semi Arboreal             Type:  Desert, with trees for climbing and slightly more moisture

Temperature:  28-30c (82-86f) at cool end 37-38c (98-100f) at hot spot 20-23c (68-74f) at night

Photoperiod: 14 hours

Winter Cooling:  10-12c (50-54f) for 8 weeks  Photoperiod, normal daylight hours

Light: High percentage full spectrum (UVB) and basking Lamp
